Josh Diekmann and Jennifer Kammerzell from the City of Tacoma came out to inform our community of the changes that are in the works for the Safe Routes Program and answered several questions that we had. They have asked anyone who hasn't to respond to the survey at the link below. This information will be helpful in terms of what we see as needing work.
The City of Tacoma and Tacoma Public Schools are developing a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Implementation Strategy. SRTS is a movement that assesses and addresses the needs for safe walking, bicycling, and skateboarding to and from school. Please take this brief survey to help the City and Schools determine the obstacles to walking, bicycling, and skateboarding and interest in SRTS activities at Tacoma schools.
